The safest way to wash delicate silk garments at home is to hand wash them, dry cleaning is the second-best option.

1. Take a basin or use the sink and fill it with lukewarm to cold water. Never use hot water. Submerge the garment.
2. Mix in a few drops of gentle detergent and use your hand to stir it into the solution.
3. Soak the garment in the water, give it a stir, and let it sit for just a few minutes (3-5).
4. Agitate the item in the water using your hands to plunge the garment up and down in the water gently to remove any dirt
5. Take the garment out and get rid of the dirty water. Rinse the item under cold water till it runs clear and all the soap has been washed out.
6. To remove excess water, place the wet garment on a white cotton towel. You can Fold the towel over and gently blot. Then, hang the item to drip dry.

Note: The drying process shouldn't take more than an hour.
Warning: Don't hang sink items in the sun-this accelerates fading.
